Hi everyone. It’s my birthday and I turned 30 today! It is still kind of weird to think that I am not in my 20s anymore. Many people say that life starts after you turn 30 and I certainly hope that this is the case for me. I would like to find more balance in my life and be more positive! I have a long way to go, but I am sure that I will get there step by step. In today’s post I would like to share an Azulejo nail art, which is inspired by one of my favorite places Lison, Portugal.
When I was visiting Lison 3 years ago, I was mesmerized by the colorful azulejo tiles and let me tell you, they are everywhere! Beautiful patterns and bright colors are hard to forget. I was snapping lots of pictures wherever we went. A few weeks back, I received a stamping plate from WhatUp Nails called Glass Masterpiece and one of the images looks like the Portuguese tiles. I immediately knew I would be making a reverse stamping with lots of blues in it.
I started off with a beautiful light blue base, which is OPI Gargantuan Green Grape (I know this nail polish was very different depending on what batch you got. Mine looks light blue, but I know most people have a bright green shade. Sorry if you are confused by that). For stamping I used Colouralike Atlantic Blue, which comes from the Sweet Septmeber collection (review). I colored in with a bright turquoise blue, which is China Glaze Too Yacht to Handle (my super oldie, but goodie) and some golden accents with Twinkled T So Extra.
This nail art took me forever to complete (about 2 hours I would say). I have a few smudges here and there, but overall, I am very pleased with how this azulejo nail art turned out.
