Hello my beautiful friends! I am celebrating my birthday today! Yay! Only one more year until I turn the magic 30 (and I am feeling good about it!). On this special day, I’ve decided to do what makes me happy. In my case, flowers on my nails! It seems like I always make flowers for my birthday (HERE & HERE), so you can imagine how much I enjoy the process of painting them. Let me show you my special Birthday Nail Art.
I was inspired to create this beautiful floral design after seeing this cool picture of the phone cases. The left picture in the second row was my inspiration.
I started off by painting my nails with two coats of Picture Polish Cherish. It’s a gorgeous nude nail polish with holo flakies. Then I stamped a white lace over the base. A stamping plate no. 34 from the Creative Shop has a gorgeous lace design on it. I thought it was very similar to my inspirational image. I used a white stamping polish from Powder Perfect (I love it! it stamps perfectly).
The roses were made with a lovely China Glaze Shell-o. Because the formula of this nail polish is jelly, it was easy to make these ‘messy’ flowers. I added the peachy Color Club Austin, some yellow element in the middle and brown dots.
For the leaves I used Heroine.nyc Sublime and China Glaze Too Yacht to Handle. I finished my look with a generous amount of fast drying top coat. Lately, I have been using the good old Seche Vite.
What do you guys think of my birthday nail art? I am so pleased with these gorgeous flowers that I do not want to take them off! The bright colors make me so happy and cheerful. I missed seeing bright colors, but hopefully after February is over I can start using pastels and neons again.
